Slice energy

The visitor types a loaf weight and a slice count, then picks a bread. The tool divides the loaf and multiplies by energy per 100 g. One slice gets a number that the loaf label does not print.

Enter the inputs. The page computes a result that did not exist as a static article.

This is a general-purpose tool, not medical, legal or financial advice. Figures are estimates from published food data or arithmetic. A qualified professional owns decisions that affect your health.

How to use it

Inputs are loaf grams, slice count and a bread. Computation divides and applies database energy. Output is one slice.

The tool runs in your browser. Nothing from the camera, microphone or sensors is uploaded. With JavaScript off, the worked example below is still computed on the server.

A worked example

An 800 g loaf cut into 16 slices is 50 g a slice. Using rye bread, one slice is 130 kcal.

The portion guide shows the same slice against a hand, which the number alone does not.
